Groups of 4 or more will find economical and convenient to arrange in advance for a private taxi to meet your flight and take only your group and leave as soon as just your luggage is ready. Private taxis usually are $75 for 1-4 people and $15 each additional person including luggage and can be the difference between catching the next ferry & missing it. The taxi will also call & let us know which ferry you will be on so we can greet you here on St John. We will bring you a block to our Studio to register, briefly orientate, pick up the rental car and lead you to your villa!

Taxis here are large vans that hold 8-12 people. The regular public taxis will wait for everyone's luggage & until the van is full before departing and may stop at various St Thomas hotels on the way. The St John ferry is the last stop. The fares run about $12.50/person and $2-3/bag.

Larger groups, especially those including many young children, elderly or impaired guests may wish to arrange well in advance for a private water taxi. Most private land taxis are used to coordinating with the water taxis to ensure a smooth transition if your flight is delayed etc.. Availability is very limited so you cannot book too far ahead.
